What is the value of the Gilbert American Flyer All Aboard 1966 Winter Wonderland train set?
Question:
6 pieces with snow, snow trees, snow bridges, snow houses, everything snow. moderately used. price value? Most sites say it is extremely rare, but I can not find an actual price. Any estimates?

Answer:
I found a site that lists the set in excellent condition at $900, from the TM American Flyer price guide for 2004. The value would be higher today. If you have the box and the complete set, (the boxes are often more valuable than the sets because most did not survive), I would not be surprised for the set to go for over $2,000 on eBay.

Frequent flyer miles with American Airlines?
Question:
I am planning a trip to Europe next december. I am traveling with a friend who wants to pay for his ticket with his credit card. My dad offered to pay for my ticket with his frequent flyer miles (american express)....we found a great price on the american airlines website...can we use the miles there?

Answer:
Yes, you can redeem miles to get a ticket for someone else. The tickets purchased with frequent flier miles are good for up to 1 year from the date you get it. And there are no fees if you get the ticket at least 21 days in advance..

do you have an American Flyer road bike?
Question:

Answer:

Home much would this American Flyer train be worth?
Question:
The engine says Amer. Flyer 307. The wheels are 4-4-2, and it has the original box. There is a Caboose 938, NMH, BLT6-51. There is an instruction book copyright 1952, a Gilbert Chemicals tanker BLT10-53, a log car, a Bell Danger Signal in box, coal car, 11 pieces of track, and a transformer AF No 1 1/2. The dealer has $195 on it but will deal.

Answer:
The BLT numbers are meaningless, except to show when the cars that are modelled were built in real life, (maybe). Manufacturers are not always accurate on this. The instruction book if it describes the train is more likely the year the model was put out. There may be track missing. Usually to takes 8 pieces to make a full circle, plus a couple of straight track is usual - but there may also be a terminal track (to which you attach the wires to the transformer.) The track is usually easy to find at train shows. The price seems at the high end of a reasonable range, depending on condition. Dicker

Answer:

american airlines frequent flyer program - how many miles?
Question:
I've a choice between ba and aa when it comes to claiming frequent flyer miles( i have a oneworld alliance ticket). I was wondering how many miles do you get per mile flown with american airlines? I found the british airways one, its 25% of miles flown in economy so if i flew 20000 miles i get 5000 frequent flyer miles. Does anybody know what you get with aa?

Answer:
The American frequent flyer website is here: http://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/programDetails/main.jsp&anchorE vent=false . You get 1 mile for every mile flown in economy and there are bonus miles for flying business class or first class. There are also bonus offers sometimes where you can get extra miles for some flights. There's a calculator here that can show you how to earn miles: http://www.aa.com/max

How do I gift American Airline frequent flyer miles to my daughter?
Question:
My aunt, a former world traveler, has decided to gift about 80,000 miles to my daughter for an upcoming trip. It took awhile to access my aunt's account (her memory is not what it used to be), and now I'm having trouble gifting the miles. I created an account in my daughter's name, but am having no luck. How do I transfer the miles from one account to the other? Thanks!

Answer:
Don't gift the miles into your daughter's account, it will cost too much that way. Just have your aunt get the award ticket in your daughter's name using her account, that way you'll only pay the fee that comes with obtaining an award travel ticket.

What is the best American Express card for frequent flyer?
Question:
I am looking for a personal card to use for regular daily purchases. I would prefer the type that must be paid off monthly. I usually fly American Airlines (although, I don't know if that matters). I would prefer a card with no annual fee.

Answer:
Well, if you prefer to only fly Delta, I would recommend the AMEX Delta Sky Miles Card. You earn sky miles instead of AMEX Reward points. You can also earn extra points for certain types of purchases. Otherwise, if you like all sorts of travel options including hotels, cruises, etc. you might like the AMEX Rewards Plus Gold Card. For your first year you earn double points on certain urchases, and 1 1/2 points every year after. The annual fee I believe is $500, but I think you can get it waived for the first year if you qualify. Then the Membership rewards points can be used for travel rewards through AMEX or transferred to other points programs such as Marriott etc. This card has other benefits, but it focuses on the earning of rewards faster through travel. Good Luck!
