How do I tell what year my IHC truck is it only has an eight character vin? Question: The truck is probably from the late 50's early 60's the cab emblems say International 200 the door tag says model V206 Answer: go to old binders dot com and do a lookup or ask in the forum |

How can I find out the original equipment/spec. by using the VIN #? Question: I am in the process of restoring a couple of vehicles, both a International pickups. One is a KB model and the other is a 1969 IHC 1200 3/4 ton. How can I find out more information as far as factory specs, motors, other options, etc. off of the VIN #? Answer: there should be a data plate either on the firewall or door or doorjam...if you are lucky maybe a build sheet under the seat springs...peterson publishing sells a book on decoding truck codes check out local book stores or look online...for data breakdown.... |

Looking for some info about a classic pickup truck? Question: I'm researching pickup trucks and wanted to know if anyone could tell me about the line of International Harvester trucks. Specifically, the 1973 IHC 1010 Custom. I don't know much about it except that it's a straight 6 automatic. Long story short, I've been trying to find out something about these trucks--reliability, common problems with the model, general opinions/reviews--and haven't had a lot of luck on the internet.
